 We are experienced PR professionals providing a very cost-effective way of obtaining media exposure. Prior to starting Big Splash Public Relations in 2007, Pat Kremer and Carolyn Jacobs worked together for twelve years at Chicago’s Field Museum where they developed a variety of successful public relations campaigns that have garnered national and international media coverage. Kremer and Jacobs have set up partnerships with local and national businesses, tapped into timely promotional opportunities and synchronized paid advertising campaigns to make sure that the public relations efforts are integrated and consistent with the look and feel of the campaign. This strategy has proven to maximize the overall impact of a PR campaign and the results demonstrate a profile of integrated marketing at its best.

Pat Kremer

Pat Kremer, is a principal in Big Splash Public Relations. As the director of public relations and advertising for Chicago’s Field Museum, she brought international acclaim to the museum by creating a publicity triumph for a dinosaur named Sue. She has served as president of the Publicity Club of Chicago and was an adjunct professor at Columbia College. Pat has a B.A. in Communications from Mundelein College.

Carolyn Jacobs

Carolyn Jacobs is a principal at Big Splash Public Relations. Prior to starting Big Splash, she worked for twelve years at Chicago’s Field Museum as the manager of public relations and advertising. During her tenure she worked on numerous award-winning campaigns, including King Tut, Jacqueline Kennedy, Cleopatra, Cartier, Sue the T. rex and The Art of the Motorcycle. She graduated with a B.A. in Communications from Purdue University.
